I have created the spring series at the end of winter 2009/2010. It seemed to me, that spring would never come. Snow and cold temperatures without sunshine all January to March. Beginning of April my mind was completely focused on waiting for sunshine and spring flowers. My desire was so strong, that I could not paint anything else than tulips and tulip bulbs.
